Second-generation jazz bassist, enthusiastic guitar instructor, and lifelong graphic artist who has worked at everything from ad agencies to T-shirt airbrushing booths. Originally from Las Vegas, I have lived in New York for 21 years. I currently reside in Brooklyn, where my husband, pianist Michael Kanan, and I have undertaken to host concerts at our super-sized rehearsal space which we call the Drawing Room. I play an intimate, melodic style of jazz in clubs, restaurants, libraries, and events, mostly in the NYC area. I am currently the acting principal bass in the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra. Our fall schedule will soon be posted here. Meanwhile, we have reading rehearsals over the summer which any string player is welcome to join.
